For our first week, we learned about “The Earth, Inside and Out.” The children learned the names and locations of different continents, why volcanoes erupt, and about the planets that orbit our sun. On Wednesday, all of the students did their own science experiment. They made a volcano erupt. This is a simple experiment you can do at home with your child. All you need to do is mix baking soda and vinegar. We also learned about the Traditional Vietnamese hats (Nón Lá) and its uses for the hot weather and rain. The students decorated their own hat and then we wore them outside.
